Biography

Dillon - Aileen McKenzie Parker Hyatt, 87, died December 5, 2011 at the McLeod Regional Medical Center in Dillon. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon, SC with burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.

Mrs. Hyatt was born in Dillon County October 25, 1924, the daughter of the late Cary and Elsie Walker McKenzie. She was the widow of the late Lloyd Parker and the late McKiver Hyatt. She was of the Baptist faith. She had been a textile worker for over thirty years and retired from Dillon Yarn.

She is survived by her daughters Louise (Walker) Broome of Jacksonville, FL; Nancy (Robert) Polson of Dillon, SC; Lois Tolson of Asheboro, NC; Rita Herman of Dillon, SC; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-six great grandchildren; and twelve great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughters, Barbara Jane Parker and Joyce Herman; her grandson, Allen Mosby; her great grandson, Davyn Small; and her three brothers, Pate, Whit, and David McKenzie.
